This book is about two girls and they are sisters. Their  names are Sunny and Masha and Sunny annoys Masha A LOT. Masha is 11 and Sunny is 6 years old. And the the thing that started it all is…….. Sunny glued plastic flowers to Masha’s head. But she used cold setting epoxy that will not come off so Sunny had to cut some of Masha’s hair.                                                                                                                        

Then it was Amonzo’s birthday and he got a yoke for a present. And he also got a sled to play with and he showed the calf’s “giddiap” and “whoa”. Then with his father he shaved some shingles and then went to go see what his mother was doing. She was useing a weaving loom to make cloth. Then he ate apples,cookies and doughnuts.

Every year every teacher gets thrashed. The big boy’s leader is the  one out of the gang that gets to thrash the teacher. But this time the teacher Mr. Corse got use a whip to thrash the boys.The boys were not expecting Mr. Corse to fight back with the whip so it surprised them very much. Almanzo’s father let Mr. Corse use the whip. After he used the whip he gave it back to Almonzo’s father. After the boys got whipped they never came back again. After that, no other teachers were thrashed.

Before it was nine o’clock the family had popcorn and apples. They also had apple cider and some people wanted milk but did not want to mess with the rising cream. Mother was knitting and father made a new ax. Then all the kids go to bed and Almanzo shivered all the way there. Then in the  morning all the kids did chores and had fluffy pancakes.

At the barn Almanzo milked the cow’s warm milk. When he went to dinner, parents can say whatever they want to say. But the kids do not get to say anything but “thank you” and “pass the               please”. Almanzo ate the yummy homemade baked beans and warm toasted bread. And he also ate rich, orange pumpkin pie.

There is a boy named Almanzo that is almost 9 years old and his brother Royal that is thirteen years old. One of his sisters, Eliza Jane, is 12 and his other sister, Alice, is 10. All of the kids that are in the same neighborhood go to the same school. After school all the children went home and Almanzo and Royal went to the barn.

This is my sketch of one of the art pieces that is at the Dallas Museum of Art. At dma.org – Dallas Museum of Art you can see the website. I had a detective brochure and  had to find some of the pictures on the European galleries on level 2. I thought the art from Japan was really cool and there was even art that was made of embroidery and cloth that I loved! If you want my opinion I especially like the modern American art.
